This new piece was commissioned by the BBC Concert Orchestra for performance and broadcast within their Discovering Music series on Radio 3.   The piece focuses on tidal movement and phases.  It was first performed on 8 July 2009 by BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Charles Hazlewood, at Watford Town Hall, UK.
