Graham has been commissioned to compose a cello concerto for Yo-Yo Ma to be premiered in 2011.   The new work will be premiered at the Royal Albert Hall, London with BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by David Robertson. 

The piece was started in autumn 2010 and completed in May 2011.   The concert will be preceded by a Composer Portrait Concert at RCM involving the performance of three of Graham's works, performed by the London Sinfonietta Academy, and a live interview with Graham about the new concerto.
